Several Downtown Disney
restaurants and clubs are
closed for refurbishment.
Make your Advanced Dining Reservations (ADR's) as early as possible (up to 180 days
prior to arrival)  Of course, this also means having to plan out what park you'll want to visit
each day so that you avoid a long commute to another park, just to have dinner. One of the
biggest secrets to having fun at Disney is to plan out each day before you get there.

Keep in mind that some popular restaurants book up as far out as 180 prior.

If a restaurant you want is not available, try calling the restaurant directly or stopping in on
that day to see if they've had any "no shows". Most will be happy to tell you if they can get
you in. Rather than asking for a reservation, ask if they can seat the number of people in
your party. For example ask, "is it possible for you to seat 2 people?" rather than, "do you
have any reservations for 2 tonight?"

Try asking for an early or late seating time. Sometimes mid-afternoon times are available or
even the last seating time of the night (if you don't mind a late dinner).

Concierge guests staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel can ask the concierge to make
their dining reservations for them. However, concierge guests have the same access to the
restaurant availability as non-concierge guests.

The Advanced Dining Reservation phone line opens at 7 A.M. EST. You will have the best
chance of getting the reservations you want, the earlier you call. Keep in mind that some
restaurants book up by 7:05 A.M., 90 days prior. Cinderella's Royal Table is one example.

Don't get discouraged if you can't get into a particular restaurant, there are enough great
places to dine on property that you're bound to have a great meal somewhere. Sometimes
the best dinners are ones you have sitting on a bench somewhere watching the "World" go
by.

If the restaurant you want is booked during your preferred time, be sure to ask them if any
other times are available. Not all cast members will be forthcoming with additional times, but
most are.

Have a list of back up restaurants ready just in case your first choice is not available. See
the  Quick Pick Dining Guides.
